Apple is expanding its coverage offered through its Apple Care Plus warranty program, making it easier for you to get your device fixed if it's damaged.

iPhones are now covered for two fixes a year instead of one, regardless of which of the two warranty packages you choose. The changes also apply to the company's new Apple Watches that were unveiled during Tuesday's product launch, according to MacRumors, who was the first to find the upgrades, as well as to Macs and iPads. The upgrades are also now listed on Apple's website.

The cost of an Apple Care Plus plan depends on the device you want to cover, per The Verge. For a new iPhone 11 Pro, for example, the owner would pay a one-time fee of $200 for coverage or $10 a month for 24 months.

Other changes include a deductible of $149 for the Theft and Loss coverage add-on of all smartphone models. The deductible for coverage of Pro and Max models used to be $269, according to The Verge.

The company offers two different packages: Apple Care Plus and Apple Care Plus with Theft and Loss Coverage. Screen fixes cost $29, while other accidental damages are priced at $99 to fix, and it's $149 to replace your phone if you lose it or if it is stolen, according to Apple's website. The plan is available to customers who purchase a new device or have within the last 60 days. Apple did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment.

The move comes months after Apple CEO Luca Maestri said Apple Care would be among its divisions that would be hit hard during Q3 due to pandemic-driven "economic weakness" and the shuttering of retail stores. The coverage expansion was also spotted the day the company threw its September product launch, announcing new Apple Watches, a revamped iPad Air, and a new fitness subscription service to take on Peloton.
